What is Ripple Fest?
Ripple Fest was a vibrant multi‑arts festival that brought together the communities of Rochester and Echuca across four days of creativity, connection and celebration. Designed in collaboration with local groups, the festival featured an exciting lineup of events across both towns.
Rochester experienced striking projections, a costume and mask parade and ball, a dynamic Skate Park graffiti wall event, workshops and DJs playing live, music in pubs and a variety of creative workshops.
Echuca presented a thought‑provoking exhibition at the Pump House, a special Bangarra Dance Company – Rekindling demonstration, and an immersive Aquatic Reserve event featuring dance, music and a river procession. At the Port of Echuca there was live music and a river light show, with bands playing in local pubs. An exhibition and closing event at The Foundry Arts Space showcased the next generation of Rochester and Echuca’s young talent.
Ripple Fest was supported by Victorian State Government funding, helping to reconnect and inspire communities following the 2022 flood event in Campaspe Shire.
And although the festival itself has wrapped, the spirit of Ripple Fest continues to ripple throughout the community, with a range of activities and programs birthed by the festival still happening across the Shire. Check out Arts & Culture Campaspe Shire Council for more information.
