Christy O’Brien is a former print journalist, senior freelance writer with The Splendid Word, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing (La Trobe University) and is an aspiring creative writer.

Christy has been crafting words for more than 30 years and is passionate about shaping them for good and for creativity and sharing the joy of writing with others. In the Ripple Fest Creative Writing Workshop, Christy will facilitate a welcoming and non-competitive space for participants to carve out their own personal writing project using the tried and tested Hero’s Journey structure.
