Waking-up Creativity

Awaken Your Creativity!

Join artist Maggie Ellis and start your day with gentle creativity and a sense of presence by the Yukoa and Dungala in Rochester and Echuca. This 45-minute session invites you to slow down, listen, and explore creative expression in a relaxed and supportive space.

Beginning with soft presence and awareness, moving gradually into creativity through:

– A mindful, unhurried walk, attuning to the sounds of the river, the shifting light, and the morning sensations.
– Grounding exercises involve rooting into the earth, feeling the air on your skin, and welcoming a sense of calm to start your day.
– A relaxed exploration of drawing and sculpture-without pressure, just the experience of making marks and shaping forms inspired by the textures, shapes, and movements of the natural environment around us.

No experience is needed; please bring an openness to listening within and around you. Materials are supplied, but you are welcome to bring your own.

This is a space for gentleness, reflection, and creative play, where you can explore freely and connect within yourself and the environment. Let the peaceful surroundings guide your creativity and help you begin the day with a sense of calm and inspiration.
